Letter from the Founder | Mission Statement | Objective Statement | Theme Statement
Many years ago, my parents took me to a new attraction called Madurodam, near our home in The Hague, Netherlands. To this day, my memories of that time have remained vivid, and are what inspired me to dedicate myself to creating the American version of this wonderland.
My vision is for America in Miniature to be a celebration of America and the places, people, food, music, and the many other things that make it so special.
During my twenty years of living in the United States, I have visited nearly every state, driving cross-country several times. I chose Las Vegas as the place to create America in Miniature because it is the "Entertainment Capital of the World", catering to 40 million visitors every year.
I wish to thank the people who have supported me in transforming my vision into reality. These people include the seed investors, who enabled me to take the critical first steps, and "Team America", a group of dedicated individuals who have helped and advised me on this remarkable project, including Eiran Gazit, the founder of Mini Israel.
I wish to express to the reader of this business plan, that we have a great vision, and will create a uniquely special experience for our guests, far exceeding that of other miniature parks. I believe that America in Miniature will become famous across this great nation, and will be a very successful enterprise. The end result will be entertaining, educational, and inspirational. Our guests will remember their experience for many years, as I have.
I invite you to join me in this inspiring endeavor.
Sincerely,
Edward van der Meer

America in Miniature will highlight the innovative American spirit and experience by showcasing the beauty, history, ethnic and cultural diversity and industrial might that is America.
This will be achieved by displaying amazing scaled depictions of its great places, people and natural wonders.

America in Miniature will be a "must see" attraction where guests will celebrate this great land, its people, stories and places that they can call their own. They will leave with an "emotional souvenir" of their experience.
